Rick St. John joined the Glendale Police Department in October 1996.  Since joining the Department, Chief St. John has enjoyed many opportunities and has acquired a background of diverse experiences to include serving as an officer on the first established Neighborhood Response Unit, serving as a Sergeant on the first established Domestic Violence Unit in Criminal Investigations, serving as the Foothills Sector Lieutenant, and serving as the Commander over Criminal Investigations. St. John was appointed Glendale's Police Chief in November 2016. Chief St. John is married and has four children, three sons and a daughter. He enjoys being active in his community through his church where he currently serves as an Elder.
